The week ahead 12.11.2018
12/11/2018
This week starts off quite light on economic data releases, but tomorrow we will see the German CPI and ZEW survey, UK unemployment figures and the US NFIB survey.
Wednesday starts off with a flurry of figures out of Asia, with China providing Retail Sales data and Industrial Production, with Japan throwing their GDP figures into the mix. Lots of GDP figures are also coming out of Europe, with both German and more general Eurozone GDP being released. By the time everyone has waded through this they’ll probably be past caring by the time US CPI is released.
Thursday brings Australian jobs data and both UK and US retail sales.
Friday sees Eurozone CPI and, more importantly, US CPI.
Hopefully we’ll see politics taking a back seat for a while so we can get back to the real business of the markets, which is pricing assets on performance.
